Today I’m going to show you how to automate and MONETIZE your Facebook group! This is a handy trick to know because you want to OWN the traffic – you don’t want Facebook to be in total charge because they can easily shut your group down, change their policies or even charge you money.

What you need to be doing is capturing email addresses and attacking from multiple sides.

First off, we need this software called Group Funnels (it comes with a price, but a very cheap one – link above!), Google Sheets – to store the information – an email autoresponder and Zapier to connect your software together!

How the process works is when someone chooses to join my group (don’t forget to ask questions to get their email – I show you how at 3:01) and I approve them, Group Funnels captures that information and puts it in their data list which you can then push to your Google Sheet.

After this, set up a Zap between your Google Sheet and your Auto-Responder (I use Active Campaign) and tell set it in a way that for every row of data that gets added to your sheet, Zapier will automatically add their email address to your automation on Active Campaign! Super simple!

Again, all you have to do is:

1. Add people to your group (make sure to filter out people to reduce spam!).

2. Import the data on Group Funnels into your Google Sheet.

3. Set up your Zap and let them do the work for you!

An e-mail list can be really helpful. When you have a list you can continually sell to them, bring them back to your website, market products efficiently but the real problem isn’t that you don’t know that an e-mail list is valuable because everyone knows that the money is in the list and they’re talking about an e-mail list. The real question is, how do you build one? Today I’m going to teach you how to build an e-mail list fast and for free, my secrets to reaching over 270,000 active e-mail subscribers.

The first tip I have for you to collect the e-mail, give away a self-discovery or assessment.

So what I mean by this is, you can do audit tools so let’s say you have an accounting site, someone can do an audit tool or if you have a health site someone can do an audit on their weight and where they should be.

You can even do calculators like if you’re in the mortgage industry there are mortgage calculators. If you don’t know how to build them you can end up using CodeCanyon.

CodeCanyon’s a site where you can buy these calculators, pop them on your site for a few dollars and as people are putting in their information you can collect their e-mail address to show them the results.

My favorite type of assessment is quizzes. I ask them all these questions about their strengths, their weaknesses, their capabilities and then I give them assessments throughout their journey. You can use tools like LeadQuizzes to create quizzes and it’ll capture e-mails.

An example of one is NeilPatel.com/Quiz. Again, if you go to NeilPatel.com/Quiz you’ll see an example of what my quiz looks like. I collect a ton of e-mails from this and you can just copy my format and even design, I wouldn’t mind, and use that to collect e-mails as well.

The next thing that you can do that I’ve done over the years to collect a lot of e-mails is run evergreen webinars, people love webinars.

They want to interact with you. So you can use tools like WebinarJam to interact with people and make it evergreen.

Evergreen means you record a webinar once and you can keep displaying it as a replay but it also seems like a live version even though it’s a replay. It’s super actionable, people love it, they’re engaging with you for 20, 30 minutes and because they’re engaging that long they’re much more likely to buy.

The third thing that you can do is exit-intent popups.

So you can do this through Hello Bar so that way when someone’s about to leave your site, ask them a yes or no question and then collect their e-mail information.

Such as, do you want to increase your traffic? If you click yes, I’ll capture your e-mail address. If you click no, I’ll say congratulations! Thanks for having massive traffic, now put in your e-mail address if you want to double your conversion rate, right? because you said no, you must say no if that means you already have a ton of traffic. Exit popups are one of the best ways.

Keep this in mind, if someone’s going to leave your website what harm do you have just asking for their e-mail? And with Hello Bar you can do a cookie base so if someone leaves your website, they see that exit popup, whether they put in their e-mail or they don’t, the next time they come back to your site and they leave, it won’t bother them for the e-mail address. because the last thing you want to do is keep bombarding people, it’s very user-friendly and also works on mobile devices.

The next tip I have for you, in-text lead magnets.

So have you heard of content upgrades? Someone’s reading an article on the 12 ways to double your SEO traffic, I can have a cheat sheet within my text saying, hey download the cheat sheet, just put in your e-mail and I’ll e-mail it off to you. When you do that, you’ll get a ton of e-mails.

It’s one of the best strategies that I’ve ever used, a lot of people don’t do it, it requires a little bit of work because you have to create a cheat sheet or PDF but that’s why it works so well because most people aren’t willing to put in the effort.

There’s no point in having a list if you’re not generating income from it.

In this video I will talk about how to grow your email list and get your first 100 subscribers when building your email list.

Growing your email list is one of the most important parts of your marketing strategy and if you can grow your email list fast, it can have many benefits for your business.

One of the best ways to build your email list is to use what is called a Lead Magnet, this is a free offering to anyone who signs up for your email list.

The important things are to focus on creating trust with your audience and make sure that you are putting your email list signup form on your website. I also recommend asking them to join your email list in your video content.

Whatever Email Marketing platform you use, growing your email list should be done organically, do not cheat at this or buy and email list.

My email list takes the form of a newsletter, where I offer a free ebook on personal branding. I also allow people to sign up for a free email course on growing their YouTube channel.

There are many ways to get your first 100 Email Subscribers but I recommend in addition to free give a ways that you have a solid content strategy.

Knowing that you are going to deliver quality content in each email means you will have a higher email open rate. Every time you send something out to your email list, your audience will trust that it is quality information and not just you selling stuff.

This also means that you will have a lower rate of email list abandonment and that your email subscribers will stick around for the long haul.
