For a long time Infusionsoft users have designed naming conventions to help them sort and organize their campaigns, but now Infusionsoft is introducing campaign categories that should make those naming systems and obsolete. You’ll be able to use categories to sort your campaigns and easily filter through them.

As a bonus, I’ll give you the category naming structure I’m starting with that you can swipe for your own business.

Infusionsoft Open Email Trigger Automation

Have you ever wanted to trigger automation off of an email open? I get this problem all the time with my Infusionsoft clients. If you call their technical support they’re going to tell you “It’s not possible”. This only partially true.

Infusionsoft did not build into their program a way to trigger automation if a contact opens an email you send them. However, there is a hack / workaround for triggering automation from an open email!

Infusionsoft & Salesforce Tutorial: Zapier is the Key to Integrating the Two

Infusionsoft provides complete CRM (Customer Relationship Management) features, but often enough you need to integrate Infusionsoft campaigns with other systems. Our team faced this situation on a project for a client whose sales team uses Salesforce. They wanted the automated campaigns the Infusionsoft provides, but they did NOT want to migrate their sales team from Salesforce.

The tool for integrating these systems is Zapier. It has some easy to use feature for connecting the applications involved in the solution. This included LanderApp, Infusionsoft and Salesforce.

This tutorial video reviews the workflow that starts with a LanderApp opt-in form creating a new contact in Infusionsoft which creates a new lead in Salesforce. It reviews creating the new contact in Infusionsoft which begins a campaign that sends email messages to the contact over the following weeks. As the contact watches a series of 7 videos, the contact is tagged in Infusionosft with via Zapier creates notes in the corresponding Salesforce lead record. With zero access to Infusionsoft, the sales team has full visibility to this sales funnel activity and can response accordingly.

So you want to add your new Facebook leads as contacts on your Infusionsoft CRM. But do you really have the time to do that manually for every new lead? It can be quite tiresome! That’s where Automate.io comes in. It’s a simple tool to connect your favorite web apps. To begin, visit this page, click on the use case box and click on the Get Started Button.

To begin, you will see the Add Accounts screen. Here you will add your Infusionsoft & Facebook Lead Ads accounts to Automate.io. Authorize these apps by clicking on the ‘Connect’ button and entering your credentials. We always keep your data secure with bank-level encryption.

After successfully authenticating your apps, you will land on the Configure page. Here, you will configure the specific data that you want to transfer from your Facebook leads to Infusionsoft. Once you complete this step successfully, Automate.io will add every new Facebook lead as a contact on Infusionsoft.

First, let’s focus on Facebook Lead Ads which is our trigger app. It is used to define when your automation should start. This automation, also called a Bot, starts when there is a new lead on Facebook. Now coming to Infusionsoft, it’s the action app, which defines what action should happen in the workflow. In our case, we want to add or update a contact on Infusionsoft whenever there is a new lead on Facebook. By the way, there are many actions available here. You can make use of them for any other tasks.

Now, select the Facebook page and form from which you want to collect lead data. And map the necessary fields to your Infusionsoft CRM. If your lead has agreed to receive emails from you, you can set Opt In to ‘Yes’. For a more detailed view of your leads, you can map Facebook lead data to fields like phone number, Job title, Address, etc. This helps you segment your leads properly and run more specific, targeted marketing campaigns in the future.

We’ve now set up our bot. So go ahead and click Done. Now, let’s test it out. Now, come back to your Automate.io dashboard. Perfect! Let’s check our Infusionsoft. There you go! It DOES NOT go into the nitty gritty details of scoping out your own sales pipeline stages. So if you’re ready to jump into Infusionsoft and start building, this would be a great recording for you to watch!

I also know there’s a lot of controversy about the question “Is Infusionsoft’s Opportunity Sales Pipeline the most effective way to build a sales pipeline?”. This webinar does not discuss the pros and cons of a “Tag based pipeline” vs “Opportunity based pipeline”, but will be covered in another video post.
