How To Set Up Automations In Active Campaign

In this video I’m going to show you guys how to set up your active campaign account so that you can start sending out automations. Um, this is the way I do it. So you’re going to learn exactly how I do it. Um, so yeah. So what we’re going to do is you’re gonna go through active campaign account and the first thing you want to do is you want to make a list.

So if you don’t have a list set up yet, you want to make a list is basically, um, how or where their people are going to live once they sign up for your list, for your product.

So if you’re doing a funnel click funnels, um, then you know, you would make a list for whatever that purpose is. So these are some of my list that I have here. So what I’m gonna do is I’m going to go to new automation here and we’re going to start from scratch and once this loads up, we’re going to give our list the name of the um, but the first thing we’ll need to do, they change their Ui. Nice. So the first thing we need to do is, so once, when someone subscribes to clip this first little icon here, click continue, and then we’re gonna. Click the list that he wants.

So we’ll put demo list. This has been a wrong, once they were to click add, start for, I want to name this was fairly quickly demo presentation. So when some, someone subscribes to our demo list, what we’re going to do is we’re gonna add a half.

So we’re gonna go to contacts or go to name this tag, little tag, click save. And that’s all we need to do for this. So have a different presentation, uh, so see a tag through a click save here. And I’m going to turn this active. So active campaign knows that whenever someone subscribes to this demo, we’re going to add the tag, devote tag next day we’re gonna do is we’re going to go back to automations and we’re to create another automation, but this time it’s going to start from scratch, but this time it’s the actual automation that we’re going to start using.

So the way we set this automation up is based on the tag that we just added to that new subscriber. So the tag is added. So we’re in quick tag as I, it could’ve continued to go to demo tag because that’s the tag we just made in the previous screen when a quick ad start and now we never, that tag is added to that person. It’s going to send them an email or whatever you a direct activecampaign to do.

Um, there’s endless amount of things that you can do, um, in terms of these automations, right? Because we can send an email because text message out, we can notify. You could also do if else statements, so if that person took a certain action or not, that we would send out an email or something or do something else, which is also what we call conditional statements and you can split, again, like I said, you can go to another action or you can set a goal, so like say for example, if you had a. I don’t know, like if you had a tag that was only applied to someone.

If they bought something, then you can set up a goal. So only send those emails. If they have that tag and a students that don’t have that tag, then that goal is met and the automation. You can also end the occupation.

So in this example, I’m going to end the automation, but actually before we end the automation, that’s actually remove the tag. This is how the automation is going to work. As soon as that person subscribes to our demo list, they’re going to be tagged with the demo tag and then they’re going to be sent an email immediately. Then were going to wait one hour and then we’re going to remove that tag and then we’re going to end this automation. Um, and then we’re going to turn this on. So the campaign, those, that we do want this to actually be active and we just set up our first, Automation!
