Following up is a part of the interview process. Get a lot of questions on what following up entails, like when to follow up and how often. Today I’m going to give you three guidelines on following up on a job interview.
First, you send a thank you email within 24 hours. That’s your first follow up, but you don’t ask anything about the job.
Don’t check in too early. If they gave you a date, wait until the day after and then check in.Follow up twice.
3rd guideline. Don’t guess why they haven’t answered and bring up anything negative.

When should I follow up if they told me, "It could be up to 4 weeks before hearing back. If you haven't heard back by then, email me."??

Hi Cassandra! Quick question, I have a panel interview coming up and if all goes well I will have a final interview in the proceeding weeks, I was wondering if I should ask everyone on the panel for their cards or contact info in order to send a personalized thank you email to each of them, or this something that is not as necessary at this point and should only send a thank you email ti the person that conducts the final interview? Thank you for all of your help, I'm working on getting my first full time job after college and had no idea how to interview and your videos have been a great help!

Hi, I will have my second interview tom with the Managing Director. Just curious and I checked the job posting just right now in linkedin and it's not there anymore. No more job posting. What does that mean? Thanks in advance for your response!

Thankyou Cassandra for all this helpful information ❤️ I had my first interview for a job I REALLY WANTED after nearly a year of searching and I got the call saying I got it 4 hours later! (I don't think the owner even had a chance to read my thankyou email!)

Cass, your videos are amazing, and have helped SO much since I relocated to another state and larger city.
Do you have a video on multiple job offers? I accepted a position and started last week. It's okay, but there is no room to advance, low pay, and minimal benefits. Today, I received a great offer for a finance position, plus 2 calls for 3rd round interviews from BOTH of my dream companies. I don't want to burn a bridge, but by asking the hard question they want a deeper look at me. I have no clue what to do!

So, the interview went well on a Thursday. The employer gave me a job assessment and background check the same day. Today is Monday and my background check came back and those cost money so that's a good sign I think. Is it okay to follow up about the decision?

What if I forgot to ask for an email/business card during the interview? It is really that bad if I am unable to send a thank-you email? (My interview had been scheduled via phone.)

so, I sent four different 'thank you' emails to the four different interviewers, and this is the response i got after two days from the technical recruiter : "Hey Domkat,
Thank you for your heart-warming email – I did nothing buddy, it's my job!
Regardless, you deserve the best experience ever, you've got such a pure genuine heart, you're very professional and you have conveyed out that you are a world-class engineer already.
I'll be scheduling a meeting very soon – Looking forward to it.
Stay tuned!! ". so i'm optimistic about the opportunity. Thanks @cass thompson career advice

I had two interviews, one last week and the other last Monday. I really enjoyed the company I went to on Monday, and they will decide until next Monday, but the company I went to last week made me a job offer which I have to answer by Friday. I would like to know if I can send an email to the other company asking. What should I do?

I had 4 rounds of interviews including a video case interview, behavioral phone and in-person interviews and because of you, I was prepared for each one.
