Hi there! In this video, you’ll learn how to download and install the software patch that will enable you to continue using MS Outlook 2010 or 2007 with your Microsoft Office 365 email account.
Setting up your Office 365 email address in the Outlook 2010 or 2007 email client, can be little bit tricky to do yourself.
Instead, we recommend you use the Outlook Setup Assistant application, to automatically set up Office 365 with your version of Outlook.
To download the Outlook Setup Assistant, click the link in the description for this video.
If you decide not to use the Outlook Setup Assistant, you must first update your MS Outlook application by downloading and installing a patch.
Only after the patch is installed, can you set up your Office 365 email account in the MS Outlook 2010 or 2007 email client.
A patch is a piece of software designed to update a computer program by fixing a vulnerability, or by improving the performance of the software.
Just like a patch sewn on a piece of old clothing allows you to keep on wearing it; installing this software patch updates Outlook 2010 and 2007 and enables you to continue using it. Let’s get started!
The software patch for MS Outlook 2010 and 2007 is only available on the Microsoft Download Center. A link to the file is available in the description for this video.
On the Microsoft Download Center home page, under Office 365 Desktop Setup Tool for Office 2010 and Office 2007, click Download.
The setup.exe file will download; open this file.
In the Open File – Security Warning dialog box, click Run.
The Microsoft Office 365 desktop setup login displays; as you enter your email address the dialog box may shift to a GoDaddy login.
Don’t worry, just continue entering the email address and password for GoDaddy Office 365 email account.
When you’re finished, click Log In.
Click Continue, then click I accept.
When the updates have completed, click Finish.
That’s it! With the patch installed, you can set up Outlook 2010 or 2007 with your Office 365 email.
This tutorial will guide you through setting up a default email program in windows for sending emails.

Default email client is the email client your computer uses to send emails when you click on the send email option. There are various email softwares available from which you can choose to set as your default email program. However, if you find that the current email program is not the one which you use then you can change it right away. Follow this step by step guide to learn how to set default email programs in windows 7.
Step # 1 — Open the Default Program Option
In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to set default email programs in windows 7. For this purpose, first of all go to the “Start Menu” and select the “Default Programs” to open its window. Once you have opened the Default Programs settings panel, click on the “Set your default Programs” option in order to open it.
Step # 2 — Select default programs for Microsoft outlook
In the next step when you have opened the “Set Default Programs” option, select the email program which you want to make the default one from the menu on the left. Now click on the “Choose defaults for this program” option located at the bottom of the window.
Step # 3 — Select to Enable all email related options
Now click to select all “Protocols” including the “Mail to” and “Send Mail” protocol from the menu. You can also do the same by clicking on the “Select All” option available at the top of the menu. Now click on the “Save” button to save these settings and exit from the settings panel.
Step # 4 — Try to send any email through your default Email Program
In the last step, try to check your default email program. In order to do so, right click on any file and select the “Send to” option. Now click on the “Mail Recipient” option from the menu and your default email client program will open in front of your screen.

Absolutely useless information! The reason people end up at this video is by searching for a way to switch from the 'canned' options that come with Windows 7. PUHLEEESE pay attention to what your viewers are looking for and do a tutorial that shows how to get the e-mail provider they actually WANT into the list of options!!!

I just want to set Yahoo as my web based e-mail client in Chrome. It use to be a simple setting to do so, but since an update I don't see where to change it and it is defaulting to Outlook. When I am on a page in my browser I want to be able to send it through Yahoo, I had it set up previously to do so.
