Computing was certainly more exciting back then. Everything is so easy now, yes more convenient but it's lost some of the magic of the 80s and 90s in my opinion. The effort required made you feel part of something special.
And let's not sniff at this technology – a mere ten years before this it would have been inconceivable that somebody could do this in their home.

Well its weird, how can they communicate with such speed while still using modems in those days.

How fucking loaded was the Green family to own this shit and have an internet connection back in 1980!
September 18th, 2020 at 8:00 am
and that was the 80's technology… an ugly modem with a playstation 1 size, an "easy conection" with a "little bit" of lag and a loudy slowly printer.
Things changed a lot and sooooooo fast.

I'm starting to believe these techies might just be the latest AI tech themselves.
This week, human speech.
"Our female protoype nearly has blinking down, but stalls out a little bit at each great attempt. However, we cannot get our Male version to stop touching it's cousin, the MicroNet 800"
"Both versions are very strong with goodbyes."
Side-note: Can you imagine talking with your doctor so easily? Where did THAT go?
