Really glad you mentioned when NOT to follow up post interview. I interviewed Thursday last week. They’ll have a decision Wednesday this week.

What if you don't have their email??

Hi Madeline,
I know the value of sending a relevant project or past work from your previous employer, but does it come off as slightly desperate to send one on a last email attempt to a hiring manager?
I went through 4 interviews, with the last one over 2 weeks ago. Each interviewer enjoyed speaking with me and I was referred by a friend.

Hi Madeline! Love all of your tips and tricks! I purchased your email template PDF and have loved how easy it is to use. What should I say to an interviewer after they've told me they decided to go in another direction for the position and that I should get an official response from HR but it's been over 3 weeks since they told me I should receive notice? Should I say anything at all? Followup with an 'I'm still available' type response?
Thank you!

I did my Interview like 2 weeks ago, and I didn't receive any call or email. Then I went to the place and the interviewer told me that I am good for the job and he needs 4-5 more days, then He will call me to do more paper work. Is that a good sign?

Hi Self Made Millenial,
I had a couple of interviews for a job and I thought I did really well in the interview, they had interviewed 5 people and they said they would get back to me in mid august. they didn't get back to me, I followed up with them on August 17th I told them that I need to know my status because I have a new project awarded in my current company and they want to list me as a resource (its true). They told me that I've been short listed and its between me and one other guy, and they mentioned both of you are excellent candidates so its a hard decision to make. they said that HR will contact me before the 20th to schedule a final interview with me for this week. I haven't gotten any response from HR. I sent out a follow up email yesterday and again no response on the matter. What should I do? oh and btw I prepared an extensive methodology that I planned to show to the higher management during the final interview. I am afraid they picked the other person before giving me the chance to do that. now my question is should I wait until Monday? should I send out the document by email to show them the work I prepared? or should I contact their higher management (they met me before and they know me).
Thanks again for your wonderful support!

My old man used to tell me, before he left this shitty world, "Never chase buses or women – you always get left behind."
Same applies to job search.

Hi Millenial, thank you for your great videos! I wanted to ask on whether I should start a new email chain with the follow up letter, or continue from the initial ''hi we would like to interview you'' conversation, or from my 'thank you' letter? Also, does it mean anything if I didn't receive a response to my 'thank you' letter? Thanks!

Since you work in HR I would love to your perspective. I received an email stating the company decided to go with another candidate. However, at the end of the email, it states, "We hope you consider applying if the position is posted again in the future." What does that mean?! If I'm a good fit for the position, why didn't you hire me?!

Hi Self Made Millennial, who do you recommend following up with first? HR or the hiring manager?
September 15th, 2020 at 8:40 am
Is following up after the 3rd or 4th time too excessive? I had a great interview back on Jun 23rd but they’ve had a deadline of August and based off of everything, it sounded like they were quite interested except for the fact that I had to meet with the final interviewer. I followed up in between the time frames and sometimes she responds and sometimes she doesn’t. Based off of the last sent email, she said that the final interviewer didn’t get into until the 12th of July due to his vacation but they said they’ll remain in contact. It’s now Thursday, should I follow up again?

So I had my third-round interview last Thursday with the team. The hiring manager was not a part of this interview – met with him for my second interview. In total, I’ve met with 10 ppl in 2 weeks for 3 interviews. Noticed yesterday afternoon that the job posting was taken down from website, and I’m still unclear what comes next. Any insights? Planning to follow up on Thursday should I hear nothing.
